Overview
Kathryn Kuhlman's Personal Beliefs From A Glimpse Into Glory

On Women in the Ministry
"I wasn't God's first choice . . . but no man was willing to pay the price."

On Her Own Ministry
"The tremendous sense of responsibility is always with me . . . It is, at times, so overwhelming that more than once I have envied the little woman on that Missouri farm."

On Those Who Aren't Healed
"I have no power to heal. No one knows how I hurt inside when a service is over, and I see those leaving in the same wheelchairs in which they came."

On the Christian Life
"Nobody enjoys being a Christian more than I do. I wouldn't exchange it for anything else I know anything about."

On the Secret of Success
"It wasn't luck or influence. It was just hard word¿and God's providence."

Publishers Description
Thousands knew her as a "woman of miracles", but perhaps Kathryn Kuhlman's greatest gift for God's Kingdom was her ability to teach. Within these pages, Kuhlman talks about the reason for miracles; what money won't buy; the truth about weakness; and a prescription for healing.

Register your artisan biography and upload your photo! Kathryn Johanna Kuhlman was born in Concordia, Missouri, to German-American parents. She was born-again at the age of 14 in the Methodist Church of Concordia, and began preaching in the West at the age of sixteen in primarily Baptist Churches. Ministry Kuhlman traveled extensively around the United States and in many other countries holding "healing crusades" between the 1940s and 1970s. She was one of the most well known healing ministers in the world. Kuhlman had a weekly TV program in the 1960s and 1970s called I Believe In Miracles that was aired nationally. The foundation was established in 1954, and its Canadian branch in 1970. By 1970 she moved to Los Angeles conducting faith healing for thousands of people each day as an heir to Aimee Semple McPherson. She became well known for her uncanny gift of healing despite, as she often bragged, having no theological training. Death and legacy In July 1975 her doctor diagnosed her with a minor heart flare up and she had a relapse in November while in Los Angeles. As a result, she had open heart surgery in Tulsa, Oklahoma from which she died in February 1976. Kathryn Kuhlman is interred in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Glendale, California. A plaque in her honor is located in the main city park in Concordia, Missouri, a town located in central Missouri on Interstate Highway 70. After she died, her will led to controversy. She left $267,500, the bulk of her estate, to three family members and twenty employees. Smaller bequests were given to 19 other employees. She influenced faith healers Benny Hinn and Billy Burke. Hinn has adopted some of her techniques and wrote a book about her. In 1981 David Byrne and Brian Eno sampled one of Kuhlman's sermons in their album My Life in the Bush of Ghosts. The track was entitled "The Spirit Womb," a mis-hearing of Kuhlman's actual utterance "the spirit world." When Kuhlman's estate refused to license the use of her voice, the track was re-recorded as "The Jezebel Spirit" with an unidentified exorcist's vocal replacing Kuhlman's.The original Kuhlman-vocal has been released on a bootleg but not officially. Healing Many accounts of healings were published in her books, which were "ghost-written" by author Jamie Buckingham of Florida, including her autobiography, which was dictated at a hotel in Las Vegas. Buckingham also wrote his own Kuhlman biography that presented an unvarnished account of her life.

Reviews - What do our customers think?
Why I like Kathryn Kuhlman  Dec 31, 2004
Well, to be honest, the reason I like Katie Kuhlman is because she was a homewrecker. She busted up a marriage and ran off with the guy in a brief but not all too talked about episode of her life. This suggests to me that if God can use an adulteress like Katie, then hell, he can use any of us now can't he?

A Glimpse Into Glory  Jun 22, 2000
This book is a must-read for the true Christian. Ms Kuhlman's down-to-earth realism is portrayed in this book and leaves no doubt that she was truly of child of God. Read the part about Humility and read and re-read the entire book. You will be blessed. I highly recommend its reading. HLJ

EXCELLENT! A must-read for every Christian!  Jun 27, 1998
Such a powerful book, totally anointed by the Holy Ghost, from the heart of a woman who knew the heartbeat of God.
