Item Description... Overview The radio and TV star and best-selling author of Arguing with Idiots rails against many of the forces that he believes keep America from reaching its potential and explains how to overcome them, in a book that surveys such topics as family and community, race relations, religion, the media and more. Reissue.
Publishers Description Glenn Beck has entertained, inspired, and informed millions with his self-effacing humor, heartfelt conviction, and down-to-earth approach to life. And in The Real America, a powerful collection of his early writings, he calls it as he sees it, cutting through the fog of those who have made it their mission to underestimate -- and undermine -- the greatness of America and the power of "We the People." Whether the topic is family, religion, personal responsibility, rampant political correctness, presidential elections, or out-of-control celebrities, Glenn Beck rails against the forces that keep us from uniting and fulfilling our potential and explains how to overcome them. His compelling, patriotic, and spiritually driven message will inspire you to connect with your own power and help lead us back to that place that is quickly being forgotten...THE REAL AMERICA. |

 | Interesting I must say... Dec 3, 2009 |
| This book was written by Glenn Beck, whom I must say is very sexy...although I don't agree with everything in his book. His book Common Sense was his best book. Although this book has a lot of facts inside that some people may not want to believe until they do the research themselves. This book is good for those who really want to debate. | | | | Outstanding Service Appreciated Nov 9, 2009 |
Exceptional Service Second To NONE! All they said it would me and More! Arrived in RECORD TIME...NO NEED TO CHECK WHERE'S MY BOOK!!! Packaged professionally and well padded! Seller with "Goes the EXTRA Mile" and better on this one! This SELLER EARNED A "10"...too bad 5 is the best I can do! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SELLER...WOULD BUY FROM THEM AGAIN AND AGAIN! CREDIT TO this site...THANK THEM FROM US BOTH! | | | | Insightful, witty and personal book Oct 25, 2009 |
| Mr Beck often uses hyperbole and humor to get his point across. In this book, it is more personal, more human. Even when I disagree with him, I can see his point of view and understand why he feels as he does. As to the definition of right wing crazy, Mr Beck fails. He was just as big a thorn - and thoughtful critic - of the Bush administration as he is of the Obama administration. I suspect Mr Beck is the Will Rogers of our day. In any event, this is a thought provoking book and I highly recommend it. If your liberal side gets toasted, don't take it too hard; he is just as hard on small minded republicans and conservatives. But he will NOT suffer a fool! Go ahead and read it - you may find ol' Glenn a lot smarter than you think. | | | | Glenn Beck at his Honest best Oct 14, 2009 |
| I've read a lot of Glenn's books, but this one is almost as if he's talking to you and making sense. I nearly couldn't put it down. | | | | fear Aug 25, 2009 |
| Drive the heard in the direction you want with fear. Joseph Goebbels knew and used this very well. | | | Write your own review about The Real America: Messages from the Heart and Heartland
