Reviews - What do our customers think?
Cute read  Nov 29, 2009
I thought it was a cute story that can gain the attention of children, while being distinct in the concepts it was trying to teach. I'm a school social worker and I believe this book will come in handy when working with students individually, but was also hoping for a message about classroom-wide issues with personal space.

Love this book  Aug 10, 2009
If your child has personal space issues, please get this book. it is a great story about a boy who goes to "space camp" He thinks he really is going to a space camp, but finds out the space camp is about how we interact with other people (not getting to close into their personal space) A great book that is fun and easy going for all children to understand. Great Art work as well!

From Satellite to Sun  Apr 21, 2009
This is an excellent book for young children, toddlers to early grades who need gentle guidance on respecting the personal space of others. Louis, the main character appears to have Asperger's Syndrome. His social skills are not up to speed and one of his biggest problems appears to be recognizing that invisible boundary that constitutes personal space.

Like a little satellite, Louis orbits around people; like a comet or meteor, he comes crashing down when his overtures are rejected. Louis is given an ultimatum - he will have to attend Personal Space Camp.

Instead of viewing this with trepidation, Louis is eager to attend because he figures he will be doing areo-space themed activities and enjoying space themed treats.

This is an excellent teaching tool to help kids learn where to stand when talking to somebody; how to wait on line and how to guage personal space based on the invidivual and the setting. The pictures, drawn based on Louis' image of Personal Space camp are funny and endearing. He is a lost space ship, who like John in "Captain Tommy" will need some guidance in being brought back into orbital alignment. It just goes to show you that children on the spectrum need not fear a lifetime sentence of being a satellite revolving around popular suns - everybody has a chance to be a Sun!

George Harrison's stellar 1969 classic "Here Comes the Sun" is the soundtrack for this book. This is an excellent companion book to Captain Tommy

quickcam review  Feb 9, 2009
Great buy for the money. Easy to install and operate. My only complaint is that it did not come with as many "fun features" as it leads you to believe (no avatars for the little kids to view). Everything does seem to work great though.

Love it!  Jan 28, 2009
I use this book all the time, ranging from kindergarten to 4th grade. They really love this book and it's easy to understand.
