Product Description
The results of a longitudinal study of Ronald Reagan's economic discourse beginning in his Hollywood years, this well-researched book shows how rhetorical forces can play a significant role in advancing economic matters. Kiewe and Houck provide comprehensive coverage of the strategies, self-contradictions, shifts, influences and developmental patterns of Reagan's rhetoric. The authors conclude that Reagan's economic discourse influenced his own views and rhetoric on foreign policy, national defense, the environment, and other issues--Reagan saw the world through economic lenses.

Reviews - What do our customers think?
A good read  Oct 19, 2008
Locurto's style is not sharply focused but it is very readable. As the subtitle suggests he is unhappy with both the heriditarian and environmentalist views of intelligence, but his "case for uniqueness" only occupies one chapter of this book.
This is written for the lay person rather than the academic, but within its limitations it provides some good background and a balanced view of what intelligence may be and how we come to have the amount we do.
